SHOW
"After a long lay-up and rehabilitation for two tendon injuries, my thoroughbred hunter, Cruz Bay, was back at work and on the show circuit. An occasionally brilliant but always erratic horse, Cruz Bay a.k.a. Benjamin, was hit by a series of ailments - infections, scratches, temporary minor lamenesses, occasional body soreness - nothing major, but all serving to slow down a consistent work schedule. APF was recommended by Dr. Van Noy as a tool to possibly help build up Benjamin's resistance to the stresses of showing.
"He's now been on APF for nearly two years and is literally a different horse. He's one of the most consistent horses in the barn, rarely showing signs of his old wild nature. He has had very few infections or illnesses and his attitude at shows is calm and wonderful. Benjamin used to get extremely stressed while trailering and he also would consistently lose weight at shows. He now regularly trailers throughout the state and maintains a steady weight (and a beautiful coat). He's the wonderful partner I always thought he could be, both in the show ring and at home. Not too many Amateur Owner hunters can also be found on rugged mountain trails, carting their owners up and down steep ravines!" |
