Attending Vets: Dr. Charles Vail & Dr. Michele Behrendt Diagnosis: Poor, due to location, extensive keloid tissue and limited range of motion. Outcome: Horse returned to intended use - barrel racing.
Horse 2 This wound occurred in August of 1993 over the front of the left rear
hock joint. In December of 1993, the horse was sent to Colorado State
University for surgery as the wound was not progressing. Six months after
the surgery, the wound was still not healing properly. In June of 1994
(ten months after the initial injury), Dr. Charles Vail contacted Equi-Light
to begin treatments.
